The Campus ID is the university photo identification card used for many services at the university. It is used to enter the residential restaurants to eat meals, admission to athletic events or as identification when entering the Student Activity Center. You receive your identification card when you check into your residence hall in August. There is a $20 replacement fee if you lose or damage your card and a $25 misuse fee if someone is caught using your card. Only the card holder is to use the ID card.

Central Michigan University and Independent Bank are partners bringing you services linked to your photo ID card. You have the option of linking your student ID card to an Independent Bank checking account so you can use your card as a Point of Sale card to make purchases and your ATM card to access your account at any Independent Bank, NYCE, Plus Network ATM or vendor. For your added convenience, there is an Independent Bank branch on the main floor of the Bovee University Center.

Campus Cash is a new and the easy way to pay for goods and services on campus.  Your Campus ID Card in conjunction with Campus Cash is the only way to use the laundry rooms in Carey, Cobb, Troutman and Wheeler.  It can also be used at all dining services locations including:

• Convenience Stores
• Goodies to Go
• Java City
• Down Under Food Court
• SAC U-Lanes Bowling Center
• Climbing Wall in Finch

Online Laundry Rooms

Laundry room use can now be monitored online via the web.  Visit www.laundryalert.com, enter password cmu4936, and you will be able to see which washers and dryers in Barnes, Carey, Cobb, Larzelere, Robinson, Troutman and Wheeler are in use.  In addition to telling you what machines are available, machines in use show the approximate time remaining.  There is also a feature allowing you to have an email sent to you when machines become available!

NOTE:  After entering the password, bookmark the page in your favorite browser and you will not need to enter it upon your next visit.
